Sacramento Kenpo KarateAMY LONG, 3rd degree

Amy Long is a second degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate. She has trained under a variety of instructors, all with kenpo karate, since the tender age of 11. She has studied under Vinton Koklich - 9th Dan (ret.), Grandmaster Ray Arquilla (10th Dan), Bob Liles (9th Dan), Richard LaFave (deceased.), and Darryl Liner, among others.

She spent several years learning the Tracy style of American Kenpo and even more years studying the Ed Parker style, most recently from the Grandmaster Larry Tatum lineage, from whom she has attended many seminars and several camps.

Most recently, she has begun the next leg of her kenpo journey working with a variety of kenpo greats..

If you've taken karate from other schools, you're welcome to come to ours, as well as people who are new. We are very accepting and we're a lot of fun.

RON NAKAMOTO, 4th degree

Ron received his fourth degree black belt under, Arnold Inouye – ‘Arnie’ to his students. He has been studying since he was 9, which was many years ago.

Ron's specialty is that he's outstanding at his feetwork and really good with his basics, so he will make sure you have a strong base.

He loves to teach the kids and is a lot of fun. He has been giving his time freely with us at SKK for over a year and we're glad to have him.

Most recently, he has begun to train under Dr. Dave Crouch as well.

For more information about him, go to Ron Nakamoto Bio
